Greece Turkey Tour

Day 01: Athens
Arrive in Athens. Check into hotel.

Relax and proceed for half day tour of city. Visit modern and ancient landmarks - Constitution Square (Syntagma), House of Parliament, Memorial to Unknown Soldier, National Library, Evzones - Greek Presidential guard, Presidential Palace. Proceed to Acropolis via Hadrian's Arch, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathenaic Stadium (venue of 1st modern Olympic Games), Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechthion, the Parthenon, Museum of Acropolis.

Day 02: Athens - Corinth - Cape Sounion
After breakfast, drive to Corinth Canal which connects the Aegean Sea to the Ionian Sea. Proceed to ancient city of Corinth - visit Agora, Apollo's Temple and ancient port of Cehries

After lunch, drive along the lovely beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza to the southernmost tip of Attica, Cape Sounion. View Temple of Poseidon, walk along rocky promontory of Sounion.

Return to Athens for night stay

Day 03: Athens - Cruise to Hydra, Poros, Aegina
Depart early for Piraeus to board cruise boat. 1st halt at Hydra for 2 hours, then to Aegina, past Poros. Lunch on board. At Aegina, visit Temple of Afea Athena.

Day 04: Athens - Argolis
Depart early for Mycenae - visit Lion's Gate, Cyclopean Walls, Royal Tombs. Proceed to Nauplion, 1st modern capital of Greece. Continue drive through Argolis plains to Epidauros to see 4th century BC theatre

Return to Athens for night stay

Day 05: Athens - Delphi
Depart early through Beotia plains to Delphi, past Thebes, Levadia and Arachova.

On the beautiful slopes of Mt. Parnassus, are the ruins of Apollo Pythios.

Visit Treasury of Athenians, temple of Apollo, Delphi Museum.

Return to Athens for night stay

Day 06: Athens - Mykonos
After breakfast, board cruise boat to Mykonos from Piraeus. Reach Mykonos early evening.

Relax or explore Mykonos Island

Day 07: Mykonos - Istanbul
After breakfast, enjoy the lovely beaches on the island. Visit Paraportiani church, windmills, Petros the Pelican, Little Venice, museums of Mykonos, archaeological island site of Delos.

Depart for Mykonos airport for 1 hour night flight to Istanbul.

Check into hotel in Istanbul for night stay.

Day 08: Istanbul
After breakfast, take city tour covering Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Haghia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, Grand Bazaar.

Night stay in Istanbul.

Day 09: Istanbul- Ankara
After breakfast, board flight for Ankara
Check into hotel in Ankara
Relax, and later take city tour, covering Citadel, Museum of Anatolian Civilisation, Mausoleum of Ataturk.

Day 10: Ankara - Cappadocia
After breakfast, drive to Cappadocia, 3 ½ hrs, through spectacular Anatolian countryside past the famous Salt Lake. Visit 13th century Agzikarahan caravansary on the Old Silk Route.

Proceed to Kaymakli underground city, natural citadel of Uchisar

Day 11: Cappadocia - Ankara
After breakfast, proceed to Gerome Valley - visit rock churches and monasteries. Continue to Zelve Valley.

Return to Ankara for night stay.

Day 12: Ankara- Onward Destination
Depart for airport in time for flight to your destination.
